What positive changes have you seen at Heage Primary in the last year?

Lots of positive changes. Love the introduction of the dojo app & getting to see photos & greater communication about what the children have been doing. Strong positive leadership is evident. The children talk about the school values at home so they are really embedded & i really like that the school focusses on the children's overall wellbeing, not just education. Also, like the emotional check-in, as this early focus on awareness of their own emotions is really important in supporting their wellbeing & ability to manage their emotions as they grow up. More after-school clubs such as running, basketball etc. Forest school sessions are reinstated for all year groups. A calendar is now available in advance for all important events. Anonymous

Forest schools were reintroduced for all year groups. Curriculum coverage seems better. Anonymous

Changes to school drop off, emotional check-ins, forest school sessions made more available for all yearsAnonymous

School drop off times are lots better, communication is much improved, and SLT is much more visible. Anonymous

Communication via dojo, more trip opportunities, better communication from the Head. Anonymous

The leadership of the school has improved and now seems to have more capacity to improve. The school now focusses more on children's wider personal development. Staff are lovely! Anonymous

The Headteacher and Deputy are a great team. Mrs Robert's long-standing commitment to the school alongside Mrs Hallam's leadership has enabled change for the good. There is now better communication; forest school time for all; more clubs. Mrs Hallam is always present and approachable, as is Mrs Roberts. Anonymous
